This year, I will have the honor to participate in Fireflies Patagonia, an amazing event that brings together cyclists from all around the world to cover over 1,000 kilometers through the majestic landscapes and remote routes of Patagonia. However, this is not just a physical and mental challenge; it is a unique journey of solidarity, hope, and commitment to a cause that transcends borders.

Born and raised on a ranch in California, Alison Tetrick went from NCAA tennis courts to biochemistry labs before finding her true calling on two wheels. A Team USA pro cyclist turned gravel queen, she’s a 3x Gravel Worlds Champion, Unbound 200 winner, and Gravel Cycling Hall of Famer. She’s raced on the Women’s World Tour, medaled at the UCI Road World Championships, and represented the USA at the Pan American Games.

After surviving a traumatic brain injury from a pro race crash, Alison discovered that while the bike almost took her life, it also saved it. Now, she’s passionate about creating opportunities for athletes through scholarships, education, and community engagement.

When she’s not racing or adventuring on gravel roads for Specialized and Wahoo, Alison is a storyteller, brand strategist, and free-range entrepreneur. She brings her science brain (B.S. in Biochemistry and M.S. in Clinical Psychology) and creative energy to product development, brand activation, and advocacy—believing that sports, science, and stories can change the world.
